Unit 3: Interventionist Approaches to Translation – Şebnem Susam-Saraeva

susam-saraeva (115x150)

The unit consists of a series of expository Chapters outlining one of the ‘interventionist’ approaches to the study of translation, and a number of Questions to help you digest the ideas and explore their practical value in translation research, and a set of Texts that we will use as research objects.

This material was developed in 2005 as part of the Translation Research Summer School, jointly organised by the University of Manchester, University of Edinburgh, University College London and Hong Kong Baptist University, between 2001-2013. As such, it reflects early 21st century thinking on translation and interpreting studies.
